Dwarf

The race of Dwarf is used exclusively by the Dwarven culture for characters hailing from Erebor and the Iron Hills. Theoretically other Dwarves might have been represented, but they never were.

The vast majority of Dwarves in the game are versions of Gimli, but others have been introduced in an attempt to round out the culture and make it playable on its own.

The race itself is often mentioned in lieu of the culture because it lines up 1:1 with the culture, so references to companions of one are also the other.

Dwarves are also a major focus of the Hobbit Draft Game.

	Gimli, Skilled Defender (5R7)	Dwarven	Companion • Dwarf	Damage +1. Each time Gimli wins a skirmish, you may wound a minion assigned to skirmish an unbound companion.

	Gimli, Bearer of Grudges (9R+4)	Dwarven	Companion • Dwarf	Damage +1. While Gimli is the Ring-bearer, at the start of each skirmish involving him, add 2 burdens or 2 threats. While Gimli is damage +X, he is resistance +X.
	Linnar, Dwarven Lord (9R5)	Dwarven	Companion • Dwarf	Each time a Dwarf wins a fierce skirmish, you may heal that Dwarf. Skirmish: Discard a card from hand to make a Dwarf damage +1.
	Sindri, Dwarven Lord (9R10)	Dwarven	Companion • Dwarf	You may play skirmish events stacked on conditions as if from hand.
	Úri, Dwarven Lord (9R11)	Dwarven	Companion • Dwarf	Skirmish: If Úri is damage +X, exert him to make him strength +X.
	Farin, Emissary of Erebor (11C7)	Dwarven	Companion • Dwarf	While Farin is at a battleground or underground site, he gains muster. (At the start of the regroup phase, you may discard a card from hand to draw a card.)

	Gimli, Lord of the Glittering Caves (13R5)	Dwarven	Companion • Dwarf	Damage +1. Gimli is strength +1 for each minion assigned to a skirmish. Assignment: Exert Gimli and spot a lurker minion to make that minion lose lurker until the regroup phase.
	Dain Ironfoot, King Under the Mountain (14R1)	Dwarven	Companion • Dwarf	Each of your other Dwarves and Men is twilight cost –1. At the start of the regroup phase, you may discard a or condition from play to discard a minion from play.
