Strategy[edit]
Aragorn, Defender of Free Peoples has at least two abilities which are strong enough on their own to build an entire deck around. Being able to make minions strength -3 with the removal a single Elven token makes Aragorn a formidable foe in the skirmish phase. And the ability to wound a minion twice during the regroup phase provides consistent and powerful minion removal for double-moves. The ability to heal a dwarf once... well. Maybe there's something there.
What keeps this version of Aragorn from being broken is the fact that it would be very challenging to build a deck which would allow Aragorn to use more than one of those abilities. And even if a deck is focused on one of those abilities only, there is still a built-in challenge for Aragorn, in that these abilities require resources provided by one's deck. Aragorn can not use his abilities until certain cards are in the support area, and provided with the appropriate cultural tokens.
All the same, a deck which truly supports Aragorn with the full playset of the necessary conditions, such as Agility (6C12) or We Left None Alive (6C97) , will also find itself supporting well those companions of the corresponding culture.
