Ranged Weapon

Ranged Weapons are among the most common and most useful items that can be placed upon your characters. The majority of these Items come with the bonus of making a character an Archer or add similar wounding text to the character who bears them.

Each time you play an skirmish event during a skirmish involving Legolas, you may heal him.

Legolas' Bow (11R23) Elven Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be an Elf.

Bearer is an Archer. If bearer is Legolas, each time you exert him to play an condition or event, you may heal him (limit once per phase).

Faramir's Bow (4R118) Gondor Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be Faramir.

Skirmish: If Faramir is skirmishing a Man or a roaming minion, exert Faramir to wound that minion.

Ranger's Bow (4C131) Gondor Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a Ring-bound Man.

Skirmish: If bearer is skirmishing a Man or a roaming minion, exert bearer to wound that minion.

Gondor Bow (7U94) Gondor Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a Man.

If bearer is a knight, he or she is strength +1.

Skirmish: Exert bearer to wound a minion he or she is skirmishing if that minion bears a Fortification.

Bow of Minas Tirith (11U58) Gondor Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a Man.

At the start of the archery phase, if bearer is at a battleground site, you may exert him or her to make the fellowship archery total +1.

Aragorn’s Bow, Ranger's Longbow (15R56) Gondor Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be Aragorn.

He is an archer.

Archery: Add a threat to wound a minion with the lowest strength.

Faramir's Bow, Ithilien Longbow (17R29) Gondor Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a ranger.

If bearer is Faramir, he is an archer.

The site number of each minion skirmishing a ranger is +1.

Rohirrim Bow (5C88) Rohan Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a Man.

Archery: Exert bearer and discard this possession to wound a minion.

Rohirrim Javelin (7C248) Rohan Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a Man.

Archery: Discard this possession to make the fellowship archery total +1.

Riddermark Javelin (11U151) Rohan Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a Man.

Archery: Discard this possession to make the fellowship archery total +1 (or +2 if the fellowship is at a plains site).

Rider’s Bow (13U135) Rohan Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a Man.

If bearer is mounted, he or she is strength +1. Each time bearer wins a skirmish, you may choose a Shadow player who must wound one of his or her minions.

Éomer's Bow (18R95) Rohan Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a Man.

If bearer is mounted, he or she is strength +1.

Archery: If bearer is Éomer, exert him to choose a Shadow player who must exert one of his or her minions.

Long Battle Bow (11C89) Men Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a minion.

Bearer is an Archer. When you play this possession, you may make the Free Peoples player exert his or her man.

Corsair Bow (18U61) Men Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a minion.

Bearer is an archer.

Each time a companion is killed during the archery phase, you may control a site.

Southron Bow (4R247) Raider Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a Man.

Bearer is an archer.

While you can spot another Man, the minion archery total is +1.

Raider Bow (7C155) Raider Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a Man.

Bearer is an archer and Ambush .

Corsair Ballista (8C52) Raider Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a corsair.

While you have initiative, bearer is an archer and fierce.

Isengard Siege Bow (11U191) Uruk-hai Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be a minion.

While bearer is at a battleground site, it is an Archer.

Lurtz's Bow, Black-fletch Bow (18R119) Uruk-hai Possession • Ranged Weapon Bearer must be an Uruk-hai.

When you play this possession on Lurtz, you may draw a card.

Archery: If bearer is Lurtz, discard 2 cards from hand to exert an unbound companion. ​

Pengedhel, Naith Warrior (4U81) Elven Companion • Elf To play, spot an Elf.

While Pengedhel bears a ranged weapon, he is strength +2 and he does not add to the fellowship archery total.

Thónnas, Naith Captain (4U86) Elven Companion • Elf To play, spot an Elf.

While Thónnas bears a ranged weapon, each minion skirmishing him is strength -2 and Thónnas does not add to the fellowship archery total.

Taurnil, Sharp-eyed Bowman (5U13) Elven Companion • Elf To play, spot an Elf.

While Taurnil bears a ranged weapon, the twilight cost of each Shadow possession is +2, and he does not add to the fellowship archery total.

Naith Warband (6R23) Elven Companion • Elf To play, spot 3 Elf companions. While Naith Warband bears a ranged weapon, it takes no more than 1 wound during each skirmish phase and does not add to the fellowship archery total.
Shield of Boromir (2R38) Gondor Possession • Shield Bearer must be a companion.

The minion archery total is -1.

If bearer is Boromir, each minion skirmishing him does not gain strength bonuses from weapons.

Andúril, Flame of the West (7R79) Gondor Artifact • Hand Weapon Bearer must be Aragorn. Discard other weapons he bears. He is damage +1 and cannot bear other weapons.

Fellowship or Regroup: If the fellowship is at any site 2 or any site 5, play the fellowship’s next site (replacing opponent’s site if necessary).

Merry, From O'er the Brandywine (1C303) Shire Companion • Hobbit While Merry bears a weapon, he is strength +2.
Hobbit Sword-play (2U103) Shire Event Maneuver: Exert a Hobbit bearing a weapon to wound a minion. That minion’s owner may remove to prevent this.
Mithril-coat (2R105) Shire Artifact • Armor Bearer must be Frodo.

The minion archery total is -1.

Each minion skirmishing Frodo does not gain strength bonuses from weapons and loses all damage bonuses.

Troop of Uruk-hai (1R143) Isengard Minion • Uruk-hai Damage +1.

A character skirmishing this minion does not gain strength bonuses from weapons.

Isengard Smith (3U60) Isengard Minion • Orc Regroup: Exert this minion to discard a weapon (or all Free Peoples possessions if you can spot 5 companions).
Trapped and Alone (3U72) Isengard Condition Each character skirmishing an Orc loses all damage bonuses from weapons.
Black Shapes Crawling (5U48) Isengard Event Maneuver: Spot X Uruk-hai. The Free Peoples player may assign X wounds to your minions. Play X weapons from your discard pile.
Goblin Armory (1R173) Moria Condition Each time you play a weapon, add .
