Unhasty

Unhasty is a loaded keyword that only appears in Towers Block on Ents, which are all exclusively Gandalf culture. It represents the ents' reluctance to enter the fray. Unhasty characters can't skirmish unless they are an ally at their home site or are specifically allowed to skirmish by a Gandalf card, usually themselves. It's mainly a cultural enforcement tool, albeit an unusual one: most cards that allow unhasty characters to skirmish do so by spotting or exerting unbound Hobbits, which at the time only included Merry and Pippin.

The restriction to Gandalf, Friend of the Shirefolk (1R72) culture cards is rarely relevant, mainly limiting the use of One Whom Men Would Follow (1U109) or Horn of Boromir (3R42) on Treebeard, Earthborn (4R103) or Treebeard, Oldest Living Thing (4C104) .

It was short-lived and largely unpopular, so only a few characters have this keyword, and only one very-rarely-played card, Stump and Bramble (4U101) , mentions it by name. By the third set of Towers Block, Ents of Fangorn, only one character has this keyword, and it doesn't appear in King Block or any later sets.

Comprehensive Rules 4.0

The Free Peoples player cannot assign a character with this keyword to a skirmish unless it is at its home site (see ally) or when a Gandalf-Culture card allows it do so.

Shadow players may assign any leftover unassigned minions to unhasty companions.
