Pippin, Hobbit of Some Intelligence (1R307) is a Shire Companion from the Fellowship of the Ring set.

Strategy[edit]
This is the most versatile version of Pippin for Fellowship Block, as he can essentially serve as a both a cannon fodder companion (Like Dwarf Guard or Lorien Elf) but can also remove a burden or heal when played. He can also soak up a lot of archery wounds, and can be a useful starting fellowship member for high bidders (Particularly with Boromir if you don’t want to use Merry), as you can bid one more than you normally would. In the later sets, cards such as Warmed Up a Bit and Make Haste were released, which would allow you to play Pippin multiple times (And get this benefit each time).

Rulings[edit]
- Since this effect occurs automatically whenever Pippin is played, it can be used to remove a burden when Pippin is played in your starting fellowship.
