The Witch-king is one of many Nazgûl that must be fought twice due to their ferocity․

Fierce is a non-numeric loaded keyword applying only to Minions. After all normal skirmishes have resolved, fierce minions must be skirmished again, doubling the resources that must be spent keeping the Fellowship alive.

Fierce was introduced in the very first set of the game and has appeared on at least one card in every expansion except The Wraith Collection. It is a hallmark of Nazgûl from the Ringwraith culture, but it has made appearances in every Shadow culture, empowering large Trolls, Orcs, or the occasional Balrog to ruin the Free Peoples player's day.
