PC Rules Summary

From LOTR-TCG Wiki

Cards Used[edit]

Cards legal in the PC formats above and beyond their usual Decipher counterparts include:

Site 9 Regroup Phase[edit]

The game ends after regroup actions at site 9, and not the start of the Regroup Phase.

This effectively means that the game text of Caverns of Isengard (5U120) is enshrined as a permanent game rule.

Discard Piles[edit]

Discard Piles are considered public knowledge, same as the Dead Pile; you may look through your opponent's discard pile at any time.

Items[edit]

"Item" is a direct synonym for "Artifact or Possession".

Here[edit]

"Here" on sites is a term used as a shorthand for "while the fellowship is at this site".

For example, Lorien Throne Room (V1_61) reads:

Forest. Sanctuary. Each time a companion exerts here, you may exert an ally to heal that companion.

This means that the fellowship must be at Lorien Throne Room to use the text, and that Uruviel, Maid of Lorien (1C67) cannot copy it.

Cannot > Can[edit]

A common card game design philosophy is that "cannot" is stronger than "can", and the PC adopts it Game text and rules which use verbiage to the effect of "X cannot happen" override text which states "X can happen".

Multipath[edit]

In PC-Movie, the site path used is Multipath, meaning that any Movie-era site path can be used, so long as all cards in the Adventure Deck are from the same block. Players must include a Map card with their deck, which is revealed to all players before bidding. This Map dictates and reveals which site path the player has chosen.
