Strategy[edit]
Good for recovering key cards that the opponent discarded, such as The Shire Countryside, or for allowing reuse of strong cards, such as Power According to His Stature. Bilbo's strength mainly lies in his ability to reshuffle any kind of [shire] card. Unlike Well-spoken Gentlehobbit, he has a site number of 3, so he can't be healed by Hobbit Party Guest, but he can be healed by Elrond (both versions can be healed by Old Bilbo's Heir or extra copies). He is best used when ahead on the path, as constant use weights a deck towards Free Peoples cards, meaning the shadow may suffer. Wounding from Shadow cards can weaken his ability but he can, like other versions of Bilbo, be protected by Consorting with Wizards.
