Strategy[edit]
Ent Avenger is rarely played outside of Towers Block/Towers Standard format Ent decks. It's a largely disposable minion that you ram into losing skirmishes rather than risking wounds on your stronger unique ents, such as Skinbark, Fladrif (6R35) .
In any format that includes Reflections (including Movie Block), Huorn (9R25) has a potentially larger strength bonus, Damage +1, and an ability to split damage, all for half the cost. Ent Avenger's only advantage over Huorn is that it's an ent for spotting and exerting purposes, which is chiefly important to play cards like Host of Fangorn (6U32) or Ent Horde (6R28) . Most decks meet these spotting requirements with stronger or cheaper ents like Forest Guardian (5C17) , Quickbeam, Bregalad (6C33) , or Skinbark, Fladrif (6R35) instead, however.
