Strategy
Gameplay Strategy
Easily one of the most powerful Elves, and arguably the best skirmisher, Círdan is a must in any deck that runs [elven] events. With the potential ability to reduce a minion's strength by up to 20 late-game, Círdan can easily defeat powerful minions such as Sauron or The Balrog. Because of his potent ability and synergy with Galadriel, Lady Redeemed (10R11) Círdan is viewed as overpowered or broken by some players. Nonetheless, he is not X-Listed in any format, and therefore many players include him with their Elf decks.
Deckbuilding Strategy
Círdan is a natural fit in a elvent deck in any format from movie onwards, working well with Galadriel, Lady Redeemed (10R11) or with the brothers from set 14, Elladan, Son of Elrond (14R2) and Elrohir, Son of Elrond (14R3) . He would not, however, fit well in a Gil-galad, High King of the Noldor (18R12) build as the number of events in the discard would be less.
