Strategy

Loyal Friend's main ability is generally inferior to that of Great Elf Warrior, being much more limited and being all-or-nothing. Although this lessens Loyal Friend's value somewhat, he does have the advantage of possessing a much higher resistance (While not bearing the Ring) which can be important when dealing with certain cards (Neekerbreekers' Bog, G for Grand, Corrupted Spy). Loyal Friend also has the Fellowship keyword, which works particularly well with Strength in my Blood, as Loyal Friend is Ring-Bound and thus immune to the effects of Wormtongue or Lying Counsel.
