Strategy[edit]
Denethor's Sword is a useless curiosity, and one of the worst cards in the game. This can shut off the game text of Denethor, Steward of the City (7R85) or Denethor, On the Edge of Madness (18R42) , but there's little reason to play those two companions in the first place. Even if you found a use for their special abilities despite their crippling drawbacks, this sword shuts those abilities off. On any other companion—especially other versions of Denethor!—this is strictly worse than generic Gondor hand weapons like Sword of Gondor (4C134) , Knight's Spear (7C108) , Gondorian Sword (7U98) , Gondorian Blade (11U59) , or Ithilien Blade (15C62) .
