| Notes | Speaking of Gandalf vitality bumps, our first version of Old Man’s Crutch turned Gandalf into more of wounding machine than was intended (using Trust me as You Once Did in successive skirmish phases to snipe down one vitality minions and saving the Ringbearer from a swarm, for example). The new crutch moves the wounding element back onto Lathspell and instead supports Gandalf’s valuable vitality in a wide range of scenarios, hopefully preserving its role as a strong alternative to the original 2R22 Staff. On Lathspell, the crutch allows him to use his ability more often, but even with it he has lost the wounding element altogether. As with the original version, it still cannot be used with Glamdring, which is both thematic and meant to prevent it being used to see your opponent’s hand for free every turn with Glamdring. |
