This Eomer is one of the most powerful versions of him ever released, with an almost guaranteed 9 strength with Rider's Mount or his own steed, Firefoot. Add Eomer's Spear to the pile and he is a very fearsome fighter indeed. He goes well in most Rohan decks, especiall those that include Merry's Sword and/or Eowyn, Lady of Ithilien. In addition, with Firefoot's defender bonus, he can be a two-card splash in a direct wounding deck like Rainbow Wounding as anti-swarm. He is often suceptible to Grima, Wormtongue, as he needs to bear possessions to work well, and with Isengard or Sauron's ability to place conditions on him, Grima can be a real threat.

Eomer, Eored Captain is almost identical, except he trades the cost reduction for the Valiant keyword. | Eomer, Eored Captain is almost identical, except he trades the cost reduction for the Valiant keyword.
