Aragorn, Defender of Free Peoples (6R50)

As a card from the Ents of Fangorn set, Data:Ancient Roads (6R49) was primarily gained as a card in the Faramir starter deck. It is a [brief description of usage], so its demand is [enormous | relatively high | average | relatively low | nonexistent].

For the Battle of Helm's Deep and Ents of Fangorn releases, Decipher altered how the 3 rares in each starter deck were chosen. Instead of selecting random rares for each starter deck, they preselected three specific rare cards that actually fit the culture and strategy of the deck they were a part of, and gave the selected cards an alternate image. As a result, these rares aren't actually "rare", since every starter deck included them.

Thus the standard version of Ancient Roads (6R49) is super common, while the alternate image Isengard Mechanics (6R127) is a standard rare.

  • As a Rare, Ancient Roads has a 1 in 40 (~2.5%) chance of being present in any EoF booster pack. (Starter decks in this set had no random rares and so it could not be found there.)
  • Foil versions of Movie-era Rare cards were randomly selected to be inserted into booster packs at a rate of 1 out of 26 packs (~3.8% of packs). This means any given EoF booster pack had a 1 in 3,146 (~0.096%) chance of containing a foil Ancient Roads.
