Skirmish Cancellation is an informal game term. It refers to the strategy of using cards to cancel and prevent skirmishes, rather than fighting minions. The first viable Skirmish Canceling strategy in [[Fellowship Block]] relied on {{Card|Hobbit Intuition}} and {{Card|Hobbit Stealth}} from sites 1-5, but had little else than {{Card|Filibert Bolger}} for the remainder of the game. This was largely true until the release of [[Rise of Saruman]] with the new [[Pipeweed]] conditions. The deck [[combos]] with {{Card|Halfling Leaf}} and {{Card|Pippin, Brave Decoy}} to have [[Pippin]] cancel every skirmish. It may also include {{Card|Aragorn, Ranger of the North}} or {{Card|Aragorn, Heir to the Throne of Gondor}} to have your [[pipeweeds]] stretch longer. The deck also usually includes {{Card|Ship of Smoke}} with some version of [[Gandalf]], and may incorporate {{Card|Grimbeorn, Beorning Chieftain}} and {{Card|Beorning Axe}}.
