General Strategy

Well, there is not much to say about this card. It's as useful to Sauron as a flooded Isengard overrun with Ents. It's widely dubbed the worst card in Fellowship Block and maybe even the worst card ever printed. It does little except giving Aragorn -1 strength, and that can easily be countered by any forms of condition removal. It also requires an exertion to play.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strong Versus...

Aragorn basically. But not THAT strong.

Weak Versus...

Any deck not playing Aragorn, as well as any form of condition removal.

Example Decks

Gorn's Doom by Kralik (TS or Movie)

Shadow (30 cards): 4x THE WEIGHT OF A LEGACY 3x Desertion 3x Many Riddles 2x Grima, Wormtongue 2x Unferth, Grima's Bodyguard 4x Orc Inquisitor 2x Band of the Eye 3x Uruk Chaser 3x Uruk Hunter 2x Saruman, Servant of the Eye 2x Desert Lord

Basic Strategy: The point of this deck is to kill Aragorn. Ideally you can reduce his strength to zero and then force an assignment with Many Riddles or Saruman, Servant of the Eye. Grima can bounce any possessions/conditions off of him, since he will be sure to be loaded down with multiple Shadow conditions. Desert Lord can exert him. Finally, the [Sauron] orcs were chosen for their discard annoyance factor.

This deck only has three minor weaknesses, otherwise it is PERFECT: 1) Your opponent might not have Aragorn in their deck. 2) Killing Aragorn doesn't win the game for you. 3) You might not succeed in killing Aragorn.

Good luck!

Rules and Clarifications

None, the card is really as bad as it seems.

Extra Information

Possibly the worst card ever printed.
