General Strategy

Among the least-used [Shire] allies in the game across any format, Master Proudfoot, Distant Relative of Bilbo is a card-drawing vehicle best suited for the early stages of a Hobbit Hospital deck design. While most mono-Hobbit decks do not perform well when producing an excess of twilight, skirmish-cancelling stealth cards can prevent an early-site.

Because he does not have an exertion cost, the Fellowship action of Master Proudfoot can be used multiple times as long as the twilight pool can be reduced; however, the "Rule of Four" prevents any more than four [Shire] cards taken into hand. Because Master Proudfoot does not exert for his ability, he can also be exerted to play cards like Thror's Map or A Talent for Not Being Seen.
