Editing Legends

Starting with [[Shadows]], card sets were no longer printed with a full parallel [[Foil]] copy of each card.  Instead, the number of alternate foils were restricted to 18, with effort taken to pick 18 of the most iconic cards in the set.  These '''Legends''' cards were printed as foils and given an alternate [[Collector's Info]] with a rarity of RF and a new number from 1-18.

Legends (typically referred to simply as "RF" in the community) were inserted into booster packs at a rate of approximately 1 in every 7 packs<ref>Wayback Machine: http://web.archive.org/web/20080121021923/http://www.decipher.com:80/content/2004/09/092704lotrshadows.html</ref>.  Unlike previous boosters, the RF always replaced the regular rare.

Legends cards were included in [[Shadows]] (set 11), [[Black Rider]] (set 12), [[Bloodlines]] (set 13), [[The Hunters]] (set 15), [[Rise of Saruman]] (set 17), and [[Treachery & Deceit]] (set 18).
