Allows a player to summon Merry and Pippin instead of starting them. Since their costs are low, this is not commonly required. Pippin can be summoned first and then exerted to fetch Merry, since Pippin rarely uses vitality for anything else. With Hobbit of Some Intelligence*, he can also remove the previous exertion or a starting burden. Like Green Dragon Inn*, Farmer Maggot's Fields can sometimes be a useful site 1 because it denies opponents the chance to use more popular sites, like The Prancing Pony*.
