General Strategy
This is one of the best versions of Aragorn, but he is X-listed in all formats save Fellowship and Open. The ability to remove twilight made during the fellowship phase is always a great asset - it can mean one less minion for your opponent, or prevent them from playing their strongest minions. This Aragorn is an obvious choice for choke decks, but works well in almost any deck besides. Use No Stranger to the Shadows with this Aragorn for even greater choking. Aragorn's Bow is also helpful to deal with the minions your opponent did manage to play. If you want to build a choke deck, some similar cards are Sting; Gimli, DotMR and Bill the Pony.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strong Versus...
- Uruk-hai and Nazgul (Who are typically expensive)
Weak Versus...
- Moria Swarm
Rules and Clarifications
- This Aragorn can only remove twilight made during the Fellowship phase, and not twilight generated by moving to a new site - if you made no twilight playing equipment/characters, this ability does nothing.
