General Strategy
One of the most potent post-Shadows sites, Steward's Tomb is an effective site for the Shadow player because it can be played at a Sanctuary to prevent Sanctuary healing. This can be devastating for the Free Peoples player, particularly when facing a wounding or archery Shadow. Steward's Tomb is also effective against recursive wound prevention such as Throne of the Golden Hall and Armor of Khazad.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strong Versus...
- Decks that lack healing when played at Sanctuaries
- Healing and wound prevention
Weak Versus...
- Less effective if the opponent plays Mithlond or Neekerbreekers Bog after travelling here
- Effects that make characters unable to take wounds (Eowyn, Northwoman; Consorting with Wizards or Swept Away)
