Since the Raider culture has very weak site controlling capability and doesn't do much with what it has, Southron Archer is often largely overlooked. The ability of Southron Archer is however very powerful and when combined with a good site controlling shadow and some mechanism to resurrect Southron Archer at the right time. Generally besiegers are the best at site controlling, although Dunland and Uruks can get the job done too. Two possibilities for keeping Southron Archer from clogging your hand early while still allowing play are Gimli, Dwarf of Erebor and Preparations/Rest By Blind Night. Both allow Southron Archer to be put back in the deck.
