| A weak counter to Shire-heavy decks, Hide and Seek is a cheap damage bonus for a Moria minion. An extra wound can often secure an unexpected kill, especially if you play it on a minion that already has damage +1, like Cave Troll of Moria, Scourge of the Black Pit, The Balrog, Durin's Bane, or a minion with Moria Axe. That character that minion is skirmishing doesn't have to be a Hobbit, either; in fact, three damage is enough to kill most non-Hobbits even if they're unwounded.

| However, this card is rarely more useful than another minion, and will often end up clogging your hand. Even in Fellowship Block, most decks only have Frodo, possibly with Sam, Son of Hamfast for burden removal. When alternate, non-Shire Ring-bearers are introduced in Movie Block and later, Hide and Seek is even less useful.
