Fearing the Worst is one of the strongest counters to trackers in the game. In a choke deck, it can single-handedly shut down tracker-based decks like Sauron Grind and Uruk Trackers.
Gameplay Strategy
In this section, describe:

* Unorthodox or subtle usage
* Common pitfalls of using this card

It peaked in popularity in Towers Standard. Players combined it with Legolas, Dauntless Hunter and other strong choke cards like A Talent for Not Being Seen and Bill the Pony. It shored up its matchup with Uruk Trackers, a popular Shadow side in the Towers Standard meta. Fearing the Worst dropped off after that format. Few tracker minions and no search cards were ever printed after Towers Block, and none of them were common enough to justify such an expensive, narrowly-focused card.

* Sauron Grind. That deck relies on Under the Watching Eye, which is itself a search card and requires tracker minions to be played.
* List enemy cards this card does well against
* Uruk Trackers. Almost all of the minions in most versions of this deck are uruk-hai trackers, and many of its key events and conditions have the search keyword.
* Sauron Discard/Sauron Initiative and some rogue Sauron decks run some of the efficient tracker minions from Towers Block and Return of the King, like Grishnakh, Orc Captain, Orc Cutthroat, Orc Patrol, Orc Chaser, <!--Orc Pursuer-->7C303, and Orc Stalker.
* The only other decks that run any affected cards at all are Stupid Swarm, which sometimes uses Uruk Foot Soldier, and Enduring Nazgul, which runs Bent on Discovery and occasionally a copy or two of Fear.
