| Cirith Ungol Warrior is, like most of the Morgul Orcs of the tenth set, a forgettable and overpriced junk minion. Four twilight cost is just not a good value for a 9 strength minion that is usually-but-often-not Fierce.
| |
| |
| There are just too many better Ringwraith minions in the same niche. Morgul Hound is less reliable but half the cost for the same stats. 4 twilight is where you can start looking at the cheap Nazgul, and this just can't compete with Ulaire Otsea, Thrall of the One, Ulaire Lemenya, Assailing Minion, or Ulaire Nertea, Thrall of the One. It's just as bad when you look at other cultures: cards like Uruk Warrior or Mordor Pillager are better minions at a lower price.
| |
| |
| In Movie Block in particular, you can't always count on the Free Peoples player to play possessions for you to spot, because of pervasive possession hate in the format and a number of strong artifacts that fill the same role. You can activate Cirith Ungol Warrior's game text on your own with Shadow possessions. However, this is unreliable with possessions borne by minions, and the worthwhile support area possessions are not in Ringwraith culture.
