			Corsair War Galley enables the [[Southron Initiative]] strategy, wherein you use the [[Southrons]] from [[Return of the King]] and {{Card\|Southron Invaders}} in conjunction with {{Card\|Ships of Great Draught}} and the War Galley (sometimes also with a few [[Corsairs]] for token adding) to [[direct-wound]] your opponent to death.

			When playing this card, you need to watch out for [[possession]] removal, such as {{Card\|Roll of Thunder}}, {{Card\|Galadriel, Lady Redeemed}}, and in [[Expanded]] and [[Standard]] there is {{Card\|Throne of Minas Tirith}} and {{Card\|For the Mark}}. To counter this, you can play multiple copies of {{Card\|Ships of Great Draught}} to [[recur]] it, and you can play multiples of the Galley itself, as it spots all {{C\|Raider}} tokens in play. Another counter to this card are the [[Mount Doom]] [[initiative]] conditions, such as {{Card\|Glimpse of Fate}} and {{Card\|Hardy Garrison}}. An easy counter to this is to simply play your worst minion, triggering the conditions, then play the rest of your hand.
